  • Why do I have blue/green stains?

    The blue green stains are caused by acidic water reacting with copper pipes. A neutralizer filter is recommended to fix this situation.

  • Why do I have red/orange stains?

    Then red/orange stains are caused by high iron levels in the water. An aeration filter is recommended to remove iron from the water.

  • Why do I have a tan color in the water?

    The tan color in the water is due to tannin that are a result of decayed vegetation. A carbon filter can remove the color from the water.

  • Why do I have sediment in my water?

    The tank could be waterlogged, the well screws may be damaged, or a check valve may have failed.

  • Why does my water have an egg smell?

    This is due to hydrogen sulfide gas in the water.  The tank may be waterlogged, or you may have the wrong type of tank.

  • Why does my pump turn on and off rapidly?

    This is probably due to a waterlogged tank.

  • How often do I need to test my well?

    The EPA recommends the well gets tested for bacteria annually or if the well is opened.
